For the second consecutive week fund investors were net purchasers of fund assets (including those of conventional funds and exchange-traded funds [ETFs]), injecting $4.3 billion for the fund-flows week ended February 1, 2017. While investors were net redeemers of money market funds (-$12.4 billion), they were net purchasers of equity funds (+$13.8 billion), taxable bond funds (+$2.8 billion), and municipal bond funds (+$14 million). However, the headline numbers might have been a little misleading.
